Change

The word 'change' seems to be a constant in our lives these days. With change comes trials, lessons, and the promise of joy.

My life verse. It has encouraged me to persevere during times when I questioned the purpose for the trial I was in and wondered how things could possibly work for good as God promises us in Romans 8.

It has been difficult to put this update into words. The two girls we were fostering left almost 2 weeks ago. I think the 'trial' was in the decision to let them go. We can only post a few details publicly. We know that they were with us for many reasons and that we were meant to have them in our lives. The oldest decided to give her heart and life to Jesus at our church's Christmas Eve service--that's the BIG one right there!! And with the help of so many friends and family members, we were able to bless them with incredible gifts and much needed items for Christmas. You have no idea the impact that those few weeks had on those two amazing girls.

We will be forever changed from this experience. I guess it's true, we can plan our life all we want, but He directs our path. We feel totally at peace with the decision we made and we pray for the girls daily. Will you pray too? We miss them but I know God has great plans for them and I look forward to seeing those plans come to fruition.

As always, thanks for doing life with us. We love you all and thank God for such incredible friends and family.

  1. Praise God about the oldest coming to Christ!! I know that God used that time in their lives and in yours...and I look forward to seeing what God does in the future in all of your lives!! I'm praying for you all.
